JON SCHILLING
I was blessed to be raised in a home that faithfully taught the Word of God, the Gospel, and its importance in my daily life. However, through my childhood and young adult life, I lived for myself, throwing aside the Truth I was taught: Spiritually dead, I was a rebel and enemy to the One Holy God who created me.
In 2007, the grace of God reached out to me and redeemed me from a life of hypocrisy and sin, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you have been saved—” Ephesians 2:4-5. Since then, God has continued to sanctify me through and by His Spirit, growing me and transforming me more and more into the likeness of His Son, my Savior Jesus Christ.
God blessed me in 2010 with a wonderful wife, Rebecca Schilling, to love and serve alongside. We have seven children together – Asher, Katelyn, Emma, Olivia, Brynlee, Grant, and Hazel. I continue to work at a construction company I have been with for the past 20 years.
In 2023, I was called into service as an undershepherd to the Lord Jesus Christ in His precious Church. Serving His people, my Brothers and Sisters, has been a joy. It is my honor to “shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly;” 1 Peter 5:2
By His Grace I was saved, by His Grace I stand today, and by His Grace he will continue to use me and complete His work in me. “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

MIKE SCHILLING
I was born and raised in a home where God’s word was taught daily and sound theology was emphasized. I spent my formative years in Los Angeles, California where I ended up meeting my wife, Johanna. Shortly after we were married, the Lord began His work of grace in my heart, and I put my trust in Christ.
My desire to serve the Lord began more than 20 years ago when my pastor called on me to serve God’s people in the local church I was a part of. Soon after, my wife and I were sent to assist in planting a church in the Las Vegas area. I not only loved the work, but I found that I loved the people more. Those two desires have remained constant and were the reason we decided to assist in the work here in Kansas City, Kansas.
I believe that the Lord has particularly prepared me to preach the Gospel to the lost and to disciple those who have come to saving faith. I have a passion to reach the lost and pointing others to fix their eyes on Jesus and our eternal hope – something I strive to do. I am grateful to be a part of a church that seeks God’s glory, is faithful to Scripture, and follows the model of the early church (Acts 2:42-47).

JUSTIN FROSS
I was born and raised in rural Illinois where I grew up being taught the word of God by my parents and church family. When I was 9 I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and began a life of service to Him. After high school I went to Calvary Bible College where I met my wife Hannah in 2004. After we were married, we moved to Macomb, IL where we began a family together and lived for 11 years. In 2019, God led us to Kansas City for his purposes and plans. In 2020, my family and I began attending Grace Community Church of Kansas City and have faithfully attended ever since.
I have always had a desire to serve others and after getting married I felt more of a desire to serve God with the abilities he has given me. With the support and encouragement of my wife we have served the Lord in different facets for 16 years now and have grown to love him more through it. Serving at Grace Community has been a huge blessing to me because I truly love the people that God has placed here with us. My desire is to honor God with my life while seeking to help others grow in love and dependents upon our Savior, through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word as well as laboring alongside one another. A wise man once said, “We are just beggars showing other beggars where to find bread”(John 6:35) and that is our goal. To share the gospel of Christ with others so they can find the bread of life as well.
I am very grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his shed blood on my behalf, because “without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins” Heb 9:22. I am not anything special, but I am confident that I am a child of the King!(Gal 4:7 So you are no longer slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.)
I am grateful that the Lord has placed me at Grace. I have had the privilege to walk alongside men who love God and long to honor him with their lives. With the Lord’s strength I will remain faithful to the tasks he has laid before me. I cannot do this or anything pleasing to him on my own accord. It is by God’s grace that I am who I am.
